Funds Control Specialist
CFAS is seeking a full-time employee. This position will be at our headquarters in Southpoint, which is in proximity to Pittsburgh, which is preferable. A qualified candidate will be self-motivated. The ability to work as a part of a team and independently is essential. The candidate will be expected to work within strict schedules. This position is responsible for completing and reviewing construction payment applications and analysis, auditing invoices, analysis of budgets, and tracking the waivers/releases of the disbursement of funds. Essential Duties & Tasks
- Efficiently and successfully manage multiple projects concurrently
- Oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle
- Data entry into the CFAS database and disbursement systems
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the team with respect to financial/accounting matters associated with construction draws/payment requests
- Work with our associates and provide them with the appropriate engagement letters, report templates, and documentation
- Ability to handle heavy communication via email and phone
- Ability to handle extended hours, if needed
- Coordinate the efforts of CFAS team members and clients in order to successfully deliver a quality product and service within a designated time frame
- Enter data and maintain information to include a subcontractor and vendor list, invoices, check numbers and amounts, and other related financial information
- Collect/verify all invoice material, backup documentation, and line waivers for draw requests
- Disbursements of funds to the borrower, contractor, subcontractors, and other vendors
- Assess and monitor contractors and subcontractors from an administrative and financial/accounting perspective
- Manage client follow-up, questions, and concerns
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of the construction business cycle including contracts, budgets, and estimates
- General accounting and bookkeeping practices
- Knowledge of general building components, details, and systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Microsoft programs primarily Outlook, Word, and a proficiency in Excel
- Strong focus on customer service
- General knowledge of the construction industry preferred but not necessary
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent. College education preferred
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience with Construction Accounting, Financial Services, or Bookkeeping experience

Salary: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
